GO DIEGO Party for Ethan and Maddi!

Image
We decided to do a combined party for Maddi and Ethan this year on Ethan's birthday JULY 19th! I was at Girls Camp for Maddi's birthday and so I tried to make all the games, decorations and cake extra fun! Ethan and Maddi invited a few friends each and we had ton of fun. nickjr.com had some really fun DIEGO crafts, including these Baby Jaguar masks! The kids loved them! Here is the cake! We played a cute game with these masks on where the children were paired up, blindfolded and they had to spin in a circle and then find their partner by touching people asking them to "Roar Jaguar roar!" The object of the game was to find their baby/mother by listening to the voice of the person touched and guessing right! Confusing I am sure, but it was a blast! The kids at the part. We missed all those who couldn't come! Summer is a busy time, and we missed you!

"ALL ABOUT MOM" TAG....answered by Maddison

Image
Some of my friends have been doing this and it is such a cute idea! Thanks Michelle and Mer! Here is what Maddi had to say about ME! 1. what is something mom always says to you? " thank you" (I guess I am not as big of a nag as I thought) 2. what makes mom happy? "when I make her laugh" 3. what makes mom sad? "when I yell at her" 4. how does mom make you laugh? "she tickles me" 5. what was mom like as a child? "hmmm....short hair, blue eyes, light skin and very quiet" (I thought this was pretty cute, the physical description is right on, but I was very opossite from quiet) 6. how old is your mom? "30" (I'll be 30 in October) 7. how tall is your mom? " I don't know about 15 inches" (hilarious, I am a little fairy!) 8. what is her favorite thing to do? "play tennis" (this is funny because a few weeks ago we went and played tennis with another couple and the kids ran around and played, I think that was...

FATHER'S DAY TRIBUTE

Image
Today is a day to celebrate the wonderful Fathers in our lives! What would the world be like without Fathers? Well, we know it wouldn't BE! Without the love of a Father, our eternal Heavenly Father, ALL KNOWING, ALL POWERFUL we simply would not have life as we know it now! It is pondering this great blessing given to each of us, that I wish to share a few words about the dear Father's in my life! The one on which I first layed big blue eyes on almost 30 years ago, was my DAD , and oh, what a lucky girl I was to be born into his home. I know I was a bright, bubbly, happy little girl because I had a Dad who believed in me, encouraged me and took my hand in his. . . and taught me. Thanks for always answering my questions, WHY??? Anyone who knows my Dad, knows that he loves children. I have always felt the constancy of his love. Oft times when he has come to visit us here in Idaho I have had ward members approach me and tell me how truly wonderful my Dad is, because he spent the e...

CONCEIVE, BELIEVE....ACHIEVE!

Saturday, May 24th, 2008 well ... those were the words written on the shirt i received when i went to rigby, friday night to attend the meeting held for all first time triathletes. i had hoped it would calm my nerves to see where i would be racing the next day and to get a few pointers and tips for the day of the race....but it seemed i came away from that bitter cold meeting with icicles for toes, a racing heart, and the overall feeling of "what am i doing!" it's not that they were trying to scare me, i just think the reality of the race was enough to do, just that! i remember their distinct words ~ don't expect to place, just finish~ it's imperative that you know how to change a flat ~get a good night sleep~if you die you signed a waiver that you wouldn't sue! so.....looking back i am not really surprised that i got A BIG 2 hours of sleep that night because of my anxiety and ironically my excitement for the race. although i must say that a stop at my f...

2008 Dance Pictures

Image
Maddison loved taking dance this year, many of her friends from Kindergarten were in her class and she had wonderful teachers. I decided to have a friend take some pictures instead of just going with the studio photographer and I am so glad that I did! Thanks so much Jennifer for making time to take Maddi's pictures, I love them! ~ Maddison danced over the weekend in front of hundreds of people both Friday and Saturday and was so cute to watch as she performed with a smile and enjoyed every minute of being in the spotlight! I love you Maddi, you are growing up so fast!
